This Fender Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster is modeled after those golden-era Teles, and it's perfect for classic guitar enthusiasts, gigging musicians, and avid collectors.
Throughout 1959, Fender gradually thinned out the Telecaster neck, giving it a nice, fast feel by the turn of the decade. This Tele's maple neck plays with that same quick feel, courtesy of its '60s Oval "C" profile that accommodates everything from chugging rhythm lines to blistering rock solos. And, thanks to its glass-smooth AAA Rosewood fingerboard, you'll never want to put this Tele down once you start riffin'.
Powering this beauty is a '63 Tele neck pickup and a '56/'57 Tele bridge pickup, and these single-coils deliver dead-on vintage Telecaster tones. Select the neck pickup, and you'll conjure up a richer, darker sound that's excellent for playing chunky rhythm riffs. Flip on the bridge pickup and kick on some overdrive, and this axe will pump out that instantly recognizable Tele twang like you've never heard before.
