In mid-1956, Fender transitioned from ash to alder for most guitar bodies, but this bass retains the earlier ash construction. The result is a gorgeous appearance a tight, sweet sound. Joining the body is a quartersawn maple neck with a '55 Soft "V" profile, which plays with a comfortable vintage feel. If you're the type of player who loves laying down deep, soulful grooves, you'll love the neck on this masterpiece.
The 1956 Precision Bass is equipped with a '55 P-Bass pickup, giving it a rich, growling voice with a hearty midrange. For more warmth and darkness, dial back the tone knob.
