At the heart of the American Performer Strat's design is its set of Yosemite single-coil pickups. These pickups have flat-staggered pole pieces and shellac coating that results in a hotter sound than your usual Fender single-coils. These are excellent pickups that provide an extra layer of tonal versatility, and you'll only find them in the American Performers. Plus, the excellent Greasebucket tone circuitry and push-pull tone control lets you add in the neck pickup to any switch position, adding even more tonal layers to be uncovered. The American Performer Stratocaster also features a modern "C" shaped neck, 22 jumbo frets, and a 9.5" radius fingerboard, which all contribute to the guitar's remarkable playability and rock-solid in-hand feel. Made in Corona, California, the American Performer Stratocaster is a remarkable instrument with wide-ranging tone and the unmatched playability you've come to expect from an authentic, USA-made Fender.
