The Electronic Audio Experiments Limelight V2 is a dual-channel overdrive that perfectly blends aggression and chime, making it an excellent choice for players who need to morph between serene, clean passages and gritty, grinding riffs.
Designed in collaboration with LA-based punk band Touche Amore, the Limelight V2 sounds great for a wide range of high-gain settings. Loosely based in the "breaker" lineage, this pedal has a rich tone, but with superior articulation and a much wider range of gain than a typical Breaker-clone.
If you're looking for a more subtle overdrive, dime back the Drive control, reign in the Tone knob, and set the Gain right around 10 o'clock, and the Limelight V2 will channel a phenomenal tone for spicing up solos and lead lines. If full-on speaker-shredding distortion is more your style, crank the Drive and Gain controls, and this stompbox will howl and wail like you wouldn't believe. And, thanks to the Limelight's independent front-end boost which works great for adding power to clean tones or pushing the overdrive side into fuzz territory, this pedal has an extensive array of dirty tones on tap.
Complete with a Focus switch that controls the low cut in the drive section, the Limelight V2 is a fantastic pedal for players who love bright, gritty tones.
