Earthquaker Devices' flag-ship device has gotten an update. The Hoof V2 Fuzz is germanium/silicon hybrid fuzz which is inspired by the Russian Big Muff. It features a natural sustain that is less associated with muff style fuzzes and has more in common with an overdriven amplifier. The Hoof Fuzz has clarity and distinctiveness that provides a tight signal that cuts through mix easily. The Hoof V2 shift changes the frequency response of the tone control, primarily on the treble side, but it also cleans up any muddiness on the low end as well. The Hoof Fuzz V2 pedal is a killer update on an already stellar original from Earthquaker.
