Description

What makes this bass special:  A rare model made for only a very short period of time in the early '80s, this awesome Wave is quite a beast of a bass!  With its unique body design & active electronics, it lends itself well to a wide array of versatile playing styles & sonic textures.  It looks a lot like something you'd see John Entwistle playing.  Neck-thru /solid body construction with killer tone & a great all around vibe.  Pro set up included so she's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition:  Used, but not abused, with typical wear for a bass its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & some finish wear.  There are additional screw holes in the back of the body & several areas that were touched up from attempted screw holes.  Overall the bass has a great look to it with a cool vintage vibe.

Neck:  Nicely rounded maple neck with cream side-dots.  Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl diamond inlays.  Frets are in great shape with no wear.  Gold Grover tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width; 34" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.

Body:  Neck-thru design with solid mahogany "wave shape" wings.  High-mass, top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles.  Bass weighs 9 lbs 12.4 oz.

Pickups / Electronics:  P-Bass & Jazz Bass style pickups with 3-way selector switch.  Volume & tone controls with black "speed knobs".  2-way mini toggles & 6-way "veritone" switch create a variety of different tones.  Active electronics with 9-volt battery.  All electronics are in good working condition.

Case:  Unoriginal hardshell case included.
