Description
The EXL-1 is D'Angelico's tribute to John D'Angelico's original archtop design, complete with a Stairstep tailpiece, floating pickup, and exceptional jazz tone. Its single-cutaway body is easy to handle and provides plenty of resonance thanks to a laminated spruce top and laminated flame maple back, with each wood showing off striking figuring. Gold hardware, mother of pearl block inlays, and a tortoiseshell pickguard complete its simple, yet distinctive look. The EXL-1's Slim "C" profile neck is great for navigating to the higher frets, and gives this jazz box plenty of added versatility, making it great for a variety of playing styles. If you're looking for an affordable, high-quality archtop, then the EXL-1 is the way to go.
