Description
The Cornerstone Colosseum mixes two iconic overdrive pedals, the Blues Breaker and the Klon Centaur, and gives them a modern update. The result is an ultra-versatile gain pedal that can tap into either circuit or create a unique sound of its own.
On the left side of the pedal is the Klon-inspired circuit, which delivers a gritty, transparent drive. While its sound is remarkably similar to the original Centaur, thanks to its use of 1N34A germanium diodes, it features a new clip blender. This allows musicians to blend a pair of hand-selected silicon diodes into their signal path for more power and punch.
The right footswitch activates the Blues Breaker circuit. Unlike the original pedal, it doesn't have any clipping diodes, which eliminates classic Blues Breaker issues like low output and signal muddiness. Plus, it has a Clean knob taken from the Cornerstone Gladio, which acts as a clean blend for extra clarity.
Complete with four jacks, the Cornerstone Colosseum works great with loopers. Additionally, there's a mini toggle that changes the order of the drive channels, doubling your sonic possibilities. For musicians who have always wanted to own a Klon Centaur and a Blues Breaker without dealing with vintage gear price hikes, the Colosseum is the ultimate option.
