What makes this guitar special: As part of Fender’s 2015 10 for 15 program, this limited run Mahogany Strat still boasts a classic Strat look, feel, and sound, but with a few variations that give it its own unique identity. Instead of a standard alder or upgraded ash body, it boasts a two-piece solid mahogany body, contoured in all the familiar ways, but with a darker Sunburst than most. It also comes loaded with a pair of N3 Noiseless pickups, one each in the neck and middle, and are paired up with a Shawbucker in the bridge. The N3’s have a tonal response similar to a standard set, but with a slightly smoother, milder response and a lot less noise. The Shawbucker is hot and crisp with great bite that will undoubtedly serve great for cutting leads and its access is as simple as it comes – one push of the on/off pushbutton located between the tone controls and it hops to an unhindered bridge pickup. It comes with all the other Deluxe upgrades like locking tuning machines and a contoured neck heel, but also includes an S-1 switch for even more tonal capabilities. Plus, it includes an original hardshell case and a pro setup so all you have to do is pull it out of the case and tune it up.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. Outside of various light surface scratches, a larger scuff/scratch under the bridge, and a few dings throughout, it is still in fantastic shape for a used guitar. There are also a few small finish chips under the trem plate. The frets show almost no wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured two-piece mahogany body in Sunburst finish. 3-ply mint pickguard. Aged white top hat controls, pickup covers, and switch tip. Vintage-style 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles.
Neck: Modern C shape maple neck and compound radius fingerboard with dot inlays. 21 medium jumbo frets. Chrome Fender locking tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale length. .84” deep at the 1st fret and .88” deep at the 12th.
Electronics: Noiseless N3 single-coil pickups in the neck and middle and a zebra Shawbucker in the bridge. 1 x volume w/ S-1 switch, 2 x tone controls. 5-way pickup selector.

Playability/Sound: The Modern C neck will be easy, comfortable, and familiar to a wide variety of players. The Noiseless pickups are nice and clean with the same classic Strat characteristics with a slightly smoother response and a mid-range that’s not quite as dramatic. The Shawbucker is hot and crisp with great bite.
