Description
What makes this guitar special? This is an extremely well-built bass with a nice natural aesthetic and excellent tone and playability across the board. Although the gorgeous swamp ash figuring that resides under a slick gloss finish is the most visually noticeable aspect, the real highlight of this bass has to be its pickups. They are a simple HH setup with dual volume and single tone controls, but provide more than the configuration itself would imply. The neck/middle is deep, full, and warm with lots of vintage thump, while the bridge has a brighter character with a bit more punch. Individually, they provide a good spectrum of different sounds, but also blend seamlessly with the individual volume controls. Even with the tone rolled all the way back, they still retain a good amount of note definition in both positions. The set neck plays beautifully even into the upper reaches of the cutaway with a perfect contour and profile. Topped off with a rich rosewood fingerboard and the classic bird inlays, this Kingfisher aptly holds up the integrity of the PRS name.
Condition: This bass is in excellent condition overall. It shows various small dings, dents, nicks, and light scratches, but is largely in phenomenal shape and looks fantastic for a used bass. The frets show only very light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.

Playability/Sound: The set neck design on this bass creates very fluid movement up into the depths of the cutaway and the shape is very comfortable, familiar, and easy to move around.
