Description
What makes this guitar special? This J-35 is incredibly clean head to toe for a used guitar. The cuts of mahogany used for the back and sides are beautifully figured with tight grains, lots of shimmer under light, and a shade complementary to the pickguard. The cuts of rosewood used for the fingerboard and bridge are similarly excellent, and add great contrast to the nice, light spruce top. Simple appointments in the white-buttoned tuning machines, traditional rosette, and gold foil headstock text add subtle and elegant touches. The tone starts with a mild, compressed low end, moves into a meaty midrange and tops off with a crisp high end. All in all, this is a very understated guitar that will give players a pleasant surprise as soon as they strum the first chord.
