What makes this guitar special: A magnificent archtop with a massive tone & powerful sound projection. Superbly built with all high-grade solid wood & exquisitely finished in classic sunburst. The flame figuring in the guitar is absolutely stunning & pairs beautifully with the all gold hardware. This gorgeous L-5 Premier has been professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it plays & sounds fantastic! Gibson rarely produces these archtops & with this one being in such marvelous condition, it's a definite must-have for any serious collector or player.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean & like new with only some very mild surface scratches that are barely noticeable.
Neck: Perfectly rounded, 3-piece flame maple neck. Multi-bound ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays & tortoise side-dots. Frets are of course in perfect condition with no wear. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl Gibson logo & flower pot inlays. Custom L-5 truss rod cover. Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Single cutaway archtop with bound F-holes. Carved, solid spruce top with 7-ply binding. Art Deco tailpiece with engraved L-5 & star. ABR-1 bridge on a floating ebony base with mother of pearl inlays. Tortoise pickguard with 5-ply binding. Solid flame maple back & sides with 3-ply binding. 17" lower bout width; 3 1/2" depth. There is no pickup. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 5.2 oz.
