Description
Condition: This guitar is in great shape overall! It is part of Fender’s Road Worn Series and as such has plenty of intentional scratches, nicks, dings, dents and area of the finish worn through to the bare wood. This design gives the guitar an awesome vintage look and vibe! Fingerboard and frets are in excellent shape with hardly any play wear. The neck is nice and straight with comfortable, low action and the truss rod functions fine. Some soldering/wiring work has been done and the first tone control currently functions as a master tone control with the second tone control functioning as a pickup blend to go between the bridge and neck pickups. This modification actually adds some versatility to the guitar but could easily be switched back to original spec. Back cover plate is missing, otherwise all electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured alder body with a Road Worn nitrocellulose sunburst finish. Vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge with six individual saddles and an unoriginal trem arm. Aged white plastic skirted control knobs and a 3-ply mint greenpickguard.
Neck: “C” shaped maple neck with the back worn down to the bare wood for a sleek feel. Rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays and a 1 11/16” synthetic bone nut. Vintage-style tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Fender Tex Mex single-coil pickups in the neck, middle and bridge. Master volume control, master tone control, pickup blend control and a 5-way selector switch.
Neck: 5.71K Ohms.
Middle: 7.11K Ohms.
Bridge: 6.34K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 11.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a great sounding Strat with an exceptional feel. The light-weight body makes it very comfortable to play and the Tex Mex pickups offer a full, fat sound while still retaining plenty of single-coil chime and sparkle. The modification can easily be changed and rewired for a classic Strat configuration but it actually adds some versatility and enables the player to blend the neck and bridge pickups together which adds some great tones to the guitar!
