Description

What makes this guitar special? This guitar is a great combination of traditional build specs and modern playability. It features the traditional tonewood combination of a mahogany body and carved AA maple top, tonally providing it a bit of meat and sparkle respectively. The top’s figuring looks fantastic, as do the psychedelic swirls that move in opposite directions on each side of the guitar’s mahogany back. The PAF-style humbuckers provide more than enough fat and rich tone, but, in combination with the push/pull coil-split volume knobs, also range into single-coil territory with similar tonal excellence. The cream and gold appointments add a bit of light to the deep red top, completing the overall aesthetic with warm and easy contrast.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does posses various scratches, scuffs, dings and dents, but largely remains clean and still looks great. There is slight discoloration of the fretboard near the nut. The frets show only light wear and still have a ton of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Solid select mahogany body and cream-bound carved AA figured maple top in Wine Red. Chrome Tune-o-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. Gold speed knobs. Cream switch plate, switch tip, pickup rings, and pickguard.

Neck: ‘60s SlimTaper profile mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Chrome Grover locking tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut. 2-ply “T” truss rod cover.

Electronics: ’57 Classic humbucker in the neck and ’57 Classic Plus in the bridge. 3-way pickup selector. 2 x volume controls with coil split, 2 x tone controls.

Weight: 10 lbs

Playability/Sound: The ‘60s SlimTaper neck is easy to move around and will likely be comfortable and familiar to a variety of modern players. The pickups sound absolutely awesome and are chock full of thick and rich humbucker tone, but if you need something a bit closer to single-coils, it also features a coil-split on each volume control. In addition, with the setup our techs have given it, this guitar plays fantastic from the nut to the cutaway.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
