Description

What makes this guitar special? This is a very clean Martin dreadnought with nice tone, easy high-fret access, great sounding electronics and similar playability. All in all, this is a very straight-forward guitar whose tone is rooted in its solid Sitka spruce top and sapele back and sides, a combination that works well with its dreadnought body to produce a robust midrange, great volume ceiling, and a responsive and crisp high end. The built in Fishman electronics system is intuitive, simple to use and has a nice transparent response that doesn’t bury the natural sound of the guitar’s inherent tonality. The body is light but still has decent balance and an upgraded set of ebony bridge pins doesn’t hurt.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does have a few light scratches and dings throughout, but largely remains very clean and still looks fantastic. The frets show only light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Single cutaway dreadnought body with a gloss solid Sitka spruce top and satin finish sapele back and sides in Natural. Double bound with black binding. Two-ring rosette. Ebony bridge with compensated white corian nut and ebony bridge pins with abalone dots. Tortoiseshell pickguard.

Neck: Performing Artist shape select hardwood neck and black richlite fingerboard with small offset dot inlays. Chrome sealed tuning machines. 1 ¾” nut width. Solid East Indian rosewood headstock overlay.

Electronics: Fishman F1 Analog electronics system with volume, tone, and built-in tuner.

Weight: 4 lbs 12.1 oz

Playability/Sound: The Performing Artist profile neck is very easy to move around due to is comfortable shape and light finish. The body has a very nice midrange response with a crisp top end and classic dreadnought boxy low to midrange bump.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
