What makes this guitar special: To pay homage to the original image of the 1961 SG Standard, Gibson introduces the SG ’61 Reissue Satin, a guitar that packs all the most desirable features of vintage SGs, with a great “satin” finish that gives it the look and feel of a well-aged classic, in Worn Cherry finish & hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer. A muscular sounding guitar with an outstanding natural acoustic resonance & fitted with a pair of dynamite sounding '57 Classics. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Gently used with some mild play wear - various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & some light finish wear along the edges.
Neck: Slim taper mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Baked maple fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have tons of life in them. Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with 5-ply small black pickguard. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 15.9 oz.
Pickups: Gibson '57 Classic humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 7.79K ohms; Neck - 7.73K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
