Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a classic tuxedo-style black and white Jazz Bass with the added bonus of being able to reach lower than the standard 4 string. Although it does have light playwear and love marks, this is a very clean bass with a slick look and excellent playability. The modern C neck is a conventional standard for many basses and will likely be familiar to a variety of players. The rosewood fretboard is nice and dark and elegantly suits the rest of the instrument’s overall aesthetic.
Condition: This bass is in very good condition overall. It does have signs of play wear in the form of surface scratches, dull finish spots from wear, and a few dings and dents here and there throughout the body and neck, but overall is still very clean and looks and plays great. The frets show very light wear and still have a lot of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway offset alder body in Black. High-mass vintage strings-through-body bridge in chrome with individually adjustable saddles. 3-ply white pickguard. Black control knobs. Chrome control plate.
Neck: Modern C shape maple neck and 9.5” radius rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. 1.875” synthetic bone nut. Fender light-weight vintage tuning machines with clover keys. Medium jumbo frets.
Electronics: American standard single-coil jazz bass pickups. 2 x volume, 1 x tone.
Weight: 10 lbs 3 oz
Playability/Sound: This is a solid playing Jazz Bass all-around. The modern C neck and 9.5” radius board are conventional standards and will be familiar to a variety of players. The pickups sound exactly as you’d imagine, with the addition of a little bellow in the low end with the addition of the 5th string.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
