What makes this guitar special: This is a super clean Taylor T3. It shows very few signs that it was played all that much, which is impressive considering the age of the guitar. The HD Humbucker pickups that Taylor equipped in this model are able to produce a vast range of tones, making this one of the more versatile guitars on the market. With the push/pull control knobs, the humbuckers can be cut down into single coils, and two different tonal voicings can be chosen, from boosted mids to a more mellow, old-school jazz sound and everything in between. Plus, it sports some excellent aesthetics like chrome hardware and a stunning quilted maple top in a Tobacco Sunburst finish, all of which add up to a guitar that is as versatile as it is visually appealing.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows only a few light surface scratches, but is otherwise in outstanding condition, especially for being a used instrument. The frets show only very light, if any, wear and still have a full lifetime of playing ahead of them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Single cutaway semi-hollow body with a sapele back/sides and a quilted maple top in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Multi-ply white binding. Chrome roller bridge and Stop bar tailpiece. Single-ply bound split f-holes.
Neck: Slim C shape Mahogany neck (.81” at the 1st fret, .85” at the 12th fret). 21 fret bound ebony fingerboard with Mother-of-Pearl small dot inlays and black side dots. Mother-of-Pearl Taylor logo headstock inlay. White single-ply headstock binding. Chrome Taylor sealed tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 3/4” scale length.
Electronics: Taylor Style 2 HD humbucker in the neck and bridge. 3-way pickup selector toggle. Master volume and Master tone controls. Push/Pull coil tap option on the volume control. Push/pull tone control circuit.
