What makes this guitar special: Increasingly rare USA made Custom Elite model, with extremely limited wear. These are of some of the highest quality guitars Ovation ever produced, made in a relatively short run near the end of their American manufacturing. Premium features included a AAA grade solid spruce top, a beautifully inlaid ebony fingerboard, exotic tonewoods around the soundholes, and of course, the OP-Pro/Studio preamp, which sounds absolutely terrific plugged in. This piece has excellent projection, with a tonal register that really blends nicely, making it suitable for just about any genre. It has been professionally inspected and set up by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play right out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Pretty great shape! Visible pickwear throughout the front of the guitar, as well as some surface and handling scratches throughout. Beyond that, just some minor fretwear and a small dent or two visible under particular lighting.
Body: Deep contoured composite body with ivoroid bound AAA solid spruce top in black finish with abalone rosette, ebony bridge, and exotic tonewood soundholes.
Weight: 5 lb, 9 oz
Neck: C-shaped mahogany neck with black side dots and pearl triangle inlays. Double bound ebony fingerboard is in great shape, and frets show only light wear with a ton of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/4" scale length. Gold tuners with pearl buttons are in perfect working order. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.
Electronics: Ovation OP-Pro/Studio preamp with adjustable drive, gain, treble, bass, and built-in tuner.
Case: Original hard shell case included, along with owner’s manual and care guide.
