Description
What makes this guitar special: This is an ever-so-slightly upgraded Les Paul that plays as fantastic as it looks. The previous owner replaced the tuning machines to more stable Grover tuners and upgraded to a TonePros bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Overall, this guitar is very clean and shows only slight wear throughout. The pickups sound great through and through and provide a good range of solid tones. Plus, who can deny a sharp looking Gold Top?
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. Outside of light surface scratches and a few minor dings throughout the body and neck, this guitar is very clean. The frets show only light wear and still have a lot of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Cream-bound single cutaway solid mahogany body in Gold Top. TonePros bridge and stop bar tail piece. Gold speed knobs. 1-ply cream pickguard, pickup rings, and switch plate.
Neck: Mahogany neck with late ‘50s profile and cream-bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Replaced Grover tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width.
Electronics: Seymour Duncan SH-1N in the neck and SH-1B in the bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls, 3-way pickup selector.
Weight: 9 lbs 8.7 oz
Playability/Sound: This Les Paul sounds exactly as you might imagine: big and fat tone with good range between the pickups. The ‘50s neck is a welcome separation from the more common SlimTaper necks but will likely still be comfortable to many players.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
