Description
What makes this guitar special? Not only is this model no longer made, but it’s not terribly easy to find in the first place. It is a great build top to bottom and serves as a great tribute to the original ’66 Tele that served its tenure with Strummer in many unique incarnations. This model features the grey auto primer and black spray paint finish that he sported for a while, complete with a recreation of the wear he induced himself, as well as distressed hardware to simulate its years of use. The C shape maple neck is incredibly comfortable and easy to move around and looks fantastic to boot. The pickups have classic Tele twang with a bit of ‘60s-era vintage vibe, a combination that sounds absolutely fantastic through a turned-up tube amp. All in all, this is a fantastic playing guitar that looks the same; an appropriate homage to the man who played it.
