Description

What makes this guitar special: This limited edition is a great way to celebrate 60 years of Fender’s existence with small but noticeable adjustments to a standard model. The most noticeable aspect is the Blizzard Pearl finish that has quite a bit of visual depth despite its light color, as the pearl gives it a bit of extra shimmer and shine. It also features a tinted maple neck that has the comfortable and familiar feel of a modern C, but with a deeper color to provide a nice contrast to the light finish, chrome hardware, and other white appointments. The Tex-Mex pickups have a similar shimmer to the finish, yet possess an inherent warmth that give it enough separation from the standard set of pickups to set them apart, but also still carry the classic spectrum of tone that players who choose Strats are looking for.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall, if not better. It shows only minor dings, dents, and light scratches, but is otherwise in fantastic shape for a 10-year-old guitar. There is an area of slight discoloration from the original diamond sticker on the pickguard. The frets show very little wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in Blizzard Pearl finish. 3-ply white pickguard. White top hat control knobs. 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge.

Neck: Modern C shape tinted maple neck and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Sealed chrome tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale.

Electronics: Fender Tex-Mex single-coil pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge. 1 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 5-way pickup selector.

Weight: 8 lbs 8.5 oz

Playability/Sound: The modern C neck plays as easy as the next, with a comfort and familiarity most players will appreciate. The Tex-Mex pickups still carry all the classic Stratocaster tone, but have a bit warmer response that lends itself perfectly to a mid-range centered sound.

Case: Includes Fender hardshell case.
