What’s special about this guitar: This is a beautiful, well-made D’Angelico EXL-1SH hollow body electric guitar. This guitar combines a classic archtop design with the tone of a humbucker for a highly versatile guitar that can handle anything from Jazz to Rock with ease. This guitar is also in great overall shape and exceptional playability!
Condition: Excellent shape overall! There are just a few light surface scratches throughout the entire guitar; overall it is very clean! The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is super comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound hollow body with and arched top and back and a Florentine cutaway. Carved spruce top and flamed maple back and sides in translucent red finish. Signature D’Angelico stairstep tailpiece, rosewood-based bridge with compensated rosewood saddle, dual bound f-holes, and a bound tortoise pickguard with pickguard mounted control knobs.
Neck: Slender and super comfortable maple neck with a bound Ebony fingerboard. Pearloid/abalone block inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Bound headstock with pearloid D’Angelico and Excel logos. Grover tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Humbucker in the neck position with master volume and tone controls.
