Description

What makes this guitar special? This is a great-playing bass with an undoubtedly unique design and setup. Its Mono-Rail II bridge provides excellent adjustability with easy access for both vertical and horizontal tweaks. The pickup has a surprisingly good range for a single pickup/position configuration and can do everything from up front and punchy to big, warm, and round. The body’s unique design allows for a variety of thumb placements depending on the playing style from the neck back to the back of the body contour that swings up around the pickup. The neck is easy to play, the controls are simple, and the finish is a killer Metallic Blue, all of which combine to make a solid 5-string bass that won’t break the bank.

Condition: This bass is in good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, chips, scratches, and some normal playwear, but still looks great and plays the same. The frets show only light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions, although not perfectly. The Fishman piezo pickups are not functioning but the magnetic pickup works great.

Body: Double-cutaway Luthite body in Metallic Blue finish. Top contour for easy thumb-placement. Mono-Rail II bridge w/ Fishman piezos. Knurled chrome and black chrome knobs. Black plastic back plates.

Neck: Slim profile C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with two dot 12th fret indicator. Sealed tuning machines. 1 ¾” nut width. 34” scale. Body-matching headstock.

Electronics: Ibanez Dynamix Full Range passive pickup. Fishman piezo pickups in the Mono-Rail II bridge (non-functioning). 1 x magnetic voume, 1 x piezo volume, 1 x magnetic EQ, 1 x piezo treble boost/cut.

Weight: 8 lbs 14.2 oz

Playability/Sound: The slim and wide neck is effortless to move around and will likely suit a wide variety of 5-string players. The pickup has great range for a single pickup and position and can be dialed in with the EQ knob alone to output everything from fat and warm to up front and punchy.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
