Description
What makes this guitar special: These 135’s are as underrated as they come, with a pair of growly ’57 classic humbuckers and a fabulous semi-hollow resonance. Models without f-holes like this one are increasingly rare, especially in a natural finish. This design allows for a tighter bass response, and limited feedback, making this guitar suitable for just about any genre of music. Plus, it’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape overall, with some standard playwear throughout. A handful of surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents, and scuffs are present, along with some typical finish checking at the neck heel and some very mild fretwear.
Body: Double bound semi-hollow maple body in natural finish with Tune-O-Matic bridge and chrome stopbar tailpiece.
Weight: 8 lb, 0.3 oz
Neck: Nicely rounded 3-piece maple neck with white side dots and pearl dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, and 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with gold silk-screened Gibson logo and chrome-sealed Grover tuners, in perfect working condition. Nicely variegated rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape, and frets show only very light wear, with nearly a full lifetime of use left in them. Neck is straight, and truss rod functions as it should.
Electronics: Dual ’57 Classic humbuckers (Bridge-8.71K ohms, Neck-7.37K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and black speed knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume.
Case: Original Gibson hard shell case included.
