Description: 2002 Gibson SG-3 SG3 SG 3 Electric Guitar
Condition: Good overall. Most notably there is a headstock crack that has been professionally repaired by our master luthier. The repair is visible but is holding together perfectly and does not affect playability. Various light surface scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. Fingerboard and frets are in excellent shape. Pickups have been changed. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body in translucent cherry finish. Gold Stop-Bar Tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic bridge, skirted control knobs with silver inserts, chicken head knob and a 4-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Slim taper mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid trapezoid inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Gibson Deluxe tuners. 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Seymour Duncan SH2N humbucker in the neck, SH1B humbucker in the middle and SH-11 humbucker in the bridge. Master volume and tone controls and a 6-way selector switch with settings for: bridge/neck, bridge, bridge/middle, middle, middle/neck, neck.
Playability/Sound: This guitar offers a huge variety of useful tones with six different pickup combinations. Anything from a full bodied clean sound to a thick, rich distortion is easily obtainable. This guitar has exceptional feel and playability given its headstock repair. The guitar and neck shape is reminiscent of a 1960s model and very comfortable.
