Description

What makes this guitar special: As solid as rock guitars come, this SG is nice and clean, sports a great finish, and sounds as good as it plays. Visually, the cuts of mahogany used for the body show nice variegation and look twice as nice under a Natural Burst finish that let them shine while adding a bit of aesthetic intrigue. The pickups sound great in all three positions from the chunky and full neck to the crisp bite of the bridge. The neck is familiar and comfortable and as a standard, the 2x2 controls are simple and intuitive. In addition, it is still in solid condition for its age and includes its original hardshell case and a professional setup so all you have to do is tune it up and roll.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall, if not better. It shows only minor dings and dents as well as some scratches throughout, but is still in great shape for a guitar that’s nearly 15 years old. The frets show only very light wear and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway contoured mahogany body in Natural Burst finish. 5-ply black pickguard. Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Black top hat control knobs with silver inserts.

Neck: Medium depth C shape mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Vintage-style Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with green keys. 1 11/16” nut width. 24.75” scale. .84” deep at the 1st fret and .97” deep at the 12th.

Electronics: 490R Alnico humbucker in the neck and 490T Alnico humbucker in the bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 6 lbs 13.4 oz

Playability/Sound: The C shape neck should be comfortable and familiar to a wide variety of players. The pickups sound great in both positions with a chunky, full, and warm neck response and a bright, crisp bridge response with a little extra bite.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
