The bound scroll work meets Gibson's toughest standards, the same standards used on the F-5L with top-grade materials and impeccable craftsmanship. Carved spruce top and solid maple back and sides, extended ebony fretboard, and tuned parallel tone bar produce unsurpassed tone.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean & like new with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: V-shaped maple neck with flamed figuring. Extended ebony fretboard with mother of pearl dot inlays & side-dots. Frets are in great shape with very little wear & tons of life in them. Scroll headstock with mother of pearl flowerpot & The Gibson inlays. Open-back strip tuners with pearloid buttons in perfect working condition. 1 1/16" nut width; 14" scale length.
Body: F-style, scroll body with 3-ply top binding. Carved solid spruce top in sunburst finish with dual F-holes. Tuned parallel tone bar. Nickel tailpiece with engraved Gibson script. Compensated ebony bridge with floating base. Carved solid maple back & sides with gorgeous flame figuring. There is no pickup & the mandolin weighs 2 lbs 1.5 oz.
