Description
What makes this guitar special: Believe it or not, this is one of the best Standard Strats we’ve had come through in a long time. Most of this comes from the neck’s specs, which boast a perfectly slim profile, a thinner 1 5/8” nut, and vintage frets, which are a pretty far step from the modern Standards that come with a modern C, 1 11/16” nut, and medium jumbo frets respectively. The pickups are incredibly lively for a standard, outputting all the classic bluesy Strat tones without any consideration for the fact that it was built as a low mid-range axe to begin with. The weight is great, it’s super clean for its age, and it comes in a less and less common color, which is also ultimately classy, Midnight Wine.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall if not better. It shows only minor nicks, dings, dents, finish chips, scuffs, light scratches, and other forms of light playwear, but is still in great shape for a used guitar and still plays and sounds just as good. The frets show only light wear if any, and still have a ton of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in Midnight Wine finish. 3-ply white pickguard. 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles. White plastic top hat control knobs.
Neck: Slim C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Chrome sealed tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut width. 25.5” scale.
Electronics: Standard single-coil Stratocaster pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge. 1 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 5-way pickup selector.
Weight: 8 lbs 1.8 oz
Playability/Sound: The slim neck on this Strat plays near effortlessly from the nut to the cutaway and thanks to a 1 5/8” nut width, will be perfect for players who like extended reach over the board.
