Description

What makes this guitar special: This is part of a limited run done by Epiphone of its Dot Deluxe in an even more limited color that was only produced for about two years. Its Trans Blue finish looks absolutely fantastic over the flame maple top, and just as good over the regular figuring in the back, creating a subtle aesthetic touch to each without being too flashy. It is perfectly complemented by cream binding, gold hardware, and amber bell knobs, all of which provide a nice warm contrast against the finish. The pickups in this guitar sound great and output equal amounts of warm and full response in the neck as they do pure chime in the bridge. The neck plays great, the controls are intuitive, and overall, this guitar is still in pretty great shape for being 15 years old.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does possess various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, and other forms of normal wear as its hardware shows, but is still in good shape for its age. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway semi-hollow body construction with laminated maple top, back, and sides with a flame maple veneer in Trans Blue. Cream binding on the top and back, cream pickup rings. Amber bell control knobs. Gold hardware.

Neck: Medium depth C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Sealed gold tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 24.75” scale length.

Electronics: Gold covered humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selectors.

Weight: 8 lbs 4.9 oz

Playability/Sound: The neck is easy to play top to bottom and will likely be comfortable and familiar to a wide variety of players. The pickups sound great in all three positions, with a warm, rich, and full neck, crunchy middle with nice body, and crisp bridge with lots of chime.

Case: Includes hardshell case.
