Description

What makes this guitar special? Outside of the gorgeously figured top in trans red, this LGX has a lot to give. The original pickups have been replaced by EMGs which sound fantastic, especially considering the tonal control this guitar provides. With the ability to choose between the magnetic pickups, transducer saddles, or both, there is an incredible amount of different tones you can get out of it. The EMGs are full and warm and the transducer saddles give you a bright and genuine sound to mix in at your discretion. It even has multiple outputs if you want to more directly control which set of pickups are being used. In addition, it is in great condition considering its age, and will surely suit players of many styles, sounds, and techniques. This guitar is an all-around powerhouse and should not be overlooked, especially at this price.

Condition: This LGX is in very good condition overall and plays just as well. It does have a few minor surface scratches and a few small dings throughout the body (dings on the headstock), but is still pretty clean, especially considering its age. The neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should. The frets show only light wear and still have a lot of life in them.

Body: Contoured mahogany body in Trans Dark Red. L.R. Baggs transducer saddles. Black hardware.

Neck: Mahogany neck with slim-medium profile and rosewood fingerboard (w/ dot inlays). Chrome tuning machines with black/ebonoid buttons.

Electronics: Unoriginal EMG humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge. 5-way selector switch, 3-way switch, transducer saddle/humbucker blend, tone, magnetic output, and acoustic/mix output. Pre-amp EQ for acoustic volume, treble, mid-range, and bass controls.

Weight: 7.65 lbs

Playability/Sound: Between the slim neck, the great low action our techs set it up with, and its contoured body, this guitar is extremely comfortable to play. The pickups, even though unoriginal, still have an incredible amount of versatility with the current configuration of switches and controls.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
