Description

What makes this guitar special: If the bridge didn’t give it away, this Strat boasts a very unique electronic configuration. The LR Baggs bridge comes with six individual piezo pickups, one for each saddle. The way it’s wired, they are all summed into one side of the output, meaning that using a TRS instrument cable allows players to take advantage of both the piezo and magnetic Lace Sensor pickups. The first “Tone” knob is wired to be the piezo volume, so players can blend them in with the regular magnetic pickups. If that wasn’t enough, it also comes in a somewhat rare Metallic Purple finish, includes its original hardshell case, and also comes with a professional setup, compliments of our in-house techs, so it’s ready to play right out of the case.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various minor dings, dents, and scratching throughout from being played, but is otherwise in great shape for a 15-year-old guitar. The frets show only light to mild wear, but are even and still play great top to bottom. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway contoured body in Purple Metallic finish. Unoriginal LR Baggs bridge with piezo pickups and adjustable saddles. 3-ply white pickguard. White top hat control knobs.

Neck: Slim to medium depth C shape maple neck and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Fender sealed chrome tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut width. 25.5” scale.

Electronics: Unoriginal Lace Sensor pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge. 2 x volume (1 for Lace Sensors, 1 for piezos), 1 x tone control. 5-way pickup selector. Volume is as stated, second knob, marked “tone” is the piezo volume, and the third knob is tone (only affects magnetic pickups).

Weight: 7 lbs 5.6 oz

Playability/Sound: The C shape neck on this Strat plays very easily and should be comfortable and familiar to a wide variety of players. The piezo pickups have a bit higher output, but are very clean with a super crisp top end. The Lace Sensors provide a similar range to traditional Strat pickups in terms of their mid-range character, but have a bit smoother response in just about every position, making them great compliments to each other.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
