Description
What makes this guitar special: This guitar is perfect for players who want to get into resonators without sinking thousands into one of few tenured producers, those looking for an inexpensive option for home/travel, or just simply a guitar with a familiar feel and different tonal response. The response itself is pleasant and warm with a mild low end that blooms a bit with some energy. The mid-range has a lot of character with both the warmth of mahogany and traditional rounded plucky pop of resonators, of which extends beautifully into a top end laden with chime. The smaller body increases its overall playability without compromising much in the way of volume or overall dynamics. Other than all that, it’s just a solid-playing resonator that won’t break the bank.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It shows only minor nicks, dings, dents, chips, scuffs, scratches, and other forms of light playwear, but is otherwise in great shape for a used instrument. The frets show only light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Concert-sized laminated mahogany body in natural Brown finish. Multi-ply top and single-ply back binding. Segmented F-holes. Chrome sieve cover plate with diamond pattern, biscuit bridge, and hourglass-style tailpiece.
Neck: Medium round C shape neck (tapers to a very soft V in the first position), and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Sealed chrome tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut width. 24.75” scale length.
Weight: 4 lbs 15.6 oz
Playability/Sound: The neck on this guitar plays very easily and will be an easy transition for a variety of players who normally use some type of C shape. The low end is subtle until you lay into the low strings, which is not uncommon for this type of construction. The mid-range is full of character with great warmth and pop, while the top end produces excellent chime.
Case: Includes hardshell case.
