Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a distinct design taken from Gibson’s original Chet Atkins design and embodies many of its characteristics. It features a slim neck that plays easily from the nut up into the cutaway. The Cahmbered mahogany body provides a bit of warmth while the maple top adds in brightness, giving it a sound that centers around a full mid-range and crisp top end response. The body is nice and slim and the back is contoured just enough to sit comfortably both standing and sitting. In addition, it is very clean for its age and still looks, plays, and sounds great.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows only minor dings, dents, light scratches, and some hardware tarnish, but is otherwise in fantastic shape for being over 15 years old. The frets show only light wear and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Single cutaway chambered mahogany body and maple top in Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Multi-ply top binding. Belly up rosewood bridge with uncompensated saddle and black bridge pins.
Neck: Slim D shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Gold sealed tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut width. 25.5” scale length.
Electronics: Under saddle piezo pickup. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control.
Weight: 7 lbs 15.1 oz
Playability/Sound: The slim neck on this guitar plays great top to bottom, even up into the cutaway. The pickup’s response provides a great mix of acoustic sound with a touch of clean electric.
