Description

What makes this guitar special: This is an absolute sleeper in terms of value, looks, sound, and overall playability. The body has a good amount of inherent acoustic resonance that is perfectly captured by its pickups when amplified. The neck has a big and full response with great upper mid-range definition, while the bridge has a ton of jangle without losing too much body, all of which has the traditional woody-sounding character that keeps many players coming back to hollow bodies. It comes with quite a few appointments that are generally reserved for more expensive guitars, such as the ornate abalone headstock inlays, gold hardware, and multi-ply binding throughout, a combination that gives it a bit of a regal appearance. The vibrato tailpiece is responsive and adds extra dynamic to an already outstanding guitar. In addition, it is in fantastic shape for a guitar that is approaching 20 years old and still plays, looks, and sounds like its been very well taken care of.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall, especially considering it is nearly 20 years old. The frets show hardly any wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Single cutaway hollow maple body with an arched maple top in White finish. Multi-ply top and back binding. 3-ply raised black pickguard. Tune-o-matic bridge and vibrato tailpiece. Gold hardware. Amber bell control knobs.

Neck: Soft V maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with split block inlays. Gold Grover tuning machines. Abalone headstock inlays. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale length.

Electronics: Gold humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 8 lbs 3.2 oz

Playability/Sound: The soft V neck on this guitar is incredibly comfortable and plays as easily with chords as it does leads. The pickups have a surprising amount of character, with a big, full response in the neck that still has a considerable amount of clarity, while the bridge is bright and full of medium-body jangle.

Case: Includes hardshell case.
