Description
Condition: This is a beautiful American Classic Custom Shop Strat in a beautiful gold finish. This guitar is very clean for its age! There are various scratches, small nicks and dings throughout the instrument and some very light chipping on the neck. The tuners have been replaced with locking Sperzel machines which are a nice upgrade. Some marks from the original tuners are visible. The original nut has also been upgraded to a bone nut, however the original is included. There has been some soldering/wiring work done. Some wiring is unoriginal but the pots, pickups, pickguard, controls knobs and bridge are original. The neck is very straight and the truss rod and neck tilt adjustment function fine.
Body: Solid contoured body in a metallic gold finish. Modern style two-point bridge with six individual saddles and a vibrato arm. Plastic skirted control knobs and a slider switch. 4-ply pearloid pickguard and 3-ply mint green back cover plate.
Neck: Slender birdseye maple neck with exquisite figuring and a skunk stripe down the back. Rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays, white dot fret position markers and a 1 11/16” bone nut. 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Texas Special Single-Coil pickups in the neck, middle and bridge with master volume control, dual tone controls and a 5-way selector switch. The pickups are currently wired so the bottom tone control adjusts the middle pickup only, not the bridge.
Neck: 4.61K Ohms.
Middle: 6.28K Ohms.
Bridge: 7.10K Ohms.

Playability/Sound: The pickups on this guitar sound excellent. They truly offer all the Classic Strat tones players have come to know and love. The birdseye maple neck looks absolutely stunning and is a great match for the gold finished body. This guitar offers stunning quality and craftsmanship and exceptionally comfortable playability.
