Description

What makes this guitar special? This is a solid artist model Strat with excellent tone and feel. Outside of the simple aesthetic of Olympic White, white pickguard, and maple on maple neck and fingerboard, this guitar features a set of Fender’s Tex-Mex single-coils that really give this guitar its identity. They still carry many of the traditional Strat characteristics in terms of tone, but offer up a slightly different character with a hotter response and bit more bite and sparkle. The soft v neck is a less common profile, but plays beautifully nonetheless from the nut to the cutaway. In addition, outside of the areas of non-aging left on the pickguard and backplate by the original stickers, this guitar is very clean for 20 years old and would surely make a great addition to any player’s collection.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does possess various small dings, dents, nicks, and light scratches, and also shows where the original un-aged color and stickers were on the pickguard and back plate, but otherwise remains very clean and still looks, plays, and sounds fantastic, especially for a guitar that’s nearly 20 years old. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning. One latch on the case is broken.

Body: Contoured alder body in Olympic White finish. Single-ply white pickguard. Vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles. White top hat control knobs and pickup covers.

Neck: Soft V satin finish maple neck and 9.5” radius maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. 1.650” synthetic bone nut. 21 medium jumbo frets. 25.5” scale. Vintage-style tuning machines.

Electronics: Tex-Mex single-coil Strat pickups in the neck and middle and Tex-Mex Hot Bridge single-coil pickup in the bridge. 1 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 5-way pickup selector.

Weight: 7 lbs 13.9 oz

Playability/Sound: The soft v neck is comfortable and has the perfect mix of full-in-hand yet medium depth feel. The Tex-Mex pickups sound great in every position and are chock-full of Strat tone with a bit of extra bite and hot response.

Case: Includes Fender hardshell case.
