Description
What makes this guitar special: The Fender California Series Stratocaster was only produced for 2 years in ’97 and ’98. It features classic Strat versatility in a nicely appointed package, sporting a vintage style tremolo bridge and hardware, as well as a vintage C shape neck profile, for easy maneuverability and remarkable playability up and down the length of the board. This piece comes professionally setup and inspected by our in-house luthier, it will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Pretty good shape for its age, with some surface scratches, scuffs, and playwear marks throughout the body, as well as some finish wear on the treble side of the lower bout on the back, as well as on the front near the jack. The headstock sports a small scuff, and there is some wear in the wood on the fingerboard (primarily in the first position).
Body: Contoured double cutaway alder body in olympic white finish with 3-ply white pickguard. Vintage style 6-screw tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles and 2 3/16” saddle spacing.
Weight: 7lb, 15oz
Neck: Tinted maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. Maple fingerboard showcases some minor wear near the first position, but frets are in great shape with a ton of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Vintage style tuners are in great shape and function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod works fine.
Electronics: Single coil pickups (Bridge-7.19K ohms, Middle-6.48K, Neck-6.45K ohms) with 5-way pickup selector switch and white tophat knobs, 1x volume, 2x tone.
Case: Original hard shell case included, along with trem bar and trem cover. Case shows some signs of handling and wear, but is structurally sound.
