Description
What makes this guitar special: Chock-full of classic Strat tone and finished in Buddy Guy’s iconic polka dots, this used Strat is a fantastic artist model head to toe. It comes loaded with a standard set of Fender single-coils that deliver traditional sound in all three positions, including the timeless midrange quack so many players love. Outside of its easy-playing soft v shape neck, it’s a straightforward Stratocaster with all-around excellent playability, looks, and sound, and also includes its original hardshell case and a professional setup so it plays as great as it sounds.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, a burn spot on the headstock, some hardware oxidation, and other forms of light to mild wear, but is still in great shape for a 20-year-old guitar. There are also finish cracks stemming from the neck heel. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in Black with White Polka Dots finish. Three-ply black pickguard. Black top hat control knobs. Vintage-style 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge.
Neck: Soft V shape maple neck and fingerboard with black dot inlays. Vintage-style closed-back nickel tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale length. .88” deep at the 1st and .94” deep at the 12th.
Electronics: Standard single-coil pickups. 1 x volume, 2 x ton controls. 5-way pickups.
Weight: 7 lbs 11.7 oz
Playability/Sound: The soft v neck plays very easily and should be an easy shape for most players to feel comfortable playing. The pickups have loads of classic Strat tone from the warm and rounded neck, through the hyped midrange quack of the middle positions and into the timeless jangle of the bridge.
Case: Includes tweed hardshell case.
