Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a great-playing and even better sounding 90s American Strat. It features a few replaced plastic parts to give it a bit more visual identity, as the pickguard, tremolo arm tip, back plate, and control knobs have all been switched for black over the traditional white. The pickups sound great in all positions and carry the classic Strat sound through and through. It also features a TBX 2-band tone control that starts notched at 12 o’clock, and depending which way you roll, will cut the highs or lows, instead of just the highs like a traditional configuration. Outside of those few things, it’s still a well-built American Strat that plays and sounds great.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, and scratches throughout, but is still in pretty great shape for a 20-year-old guitar. The frets show mild wear but still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in Sunburst finish. Unoriginal 3-ply black pickguard. Unoriginal Black top hat control knobs and pickup covers. Deluxe-style 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge. Unoriginal bridge cover.
Neck: C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Fender chrome sealed tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale.
Electronics: Fender American Standard single-coil pickups. 1 x volume, 1 x standard tone, 1 x TBX tone control. 5-way pickup selector.
Weight: 8 lbs 5.4 oz
Playability/Sound: The neck is an easy and familiar C shape that plays great from the nut to the cutaway. The pickups sound fantastic in all 5-positions, each rich with classic Strat tone, but the addition of the TBX tone control is a great addition as well.
Case: Includes semi-hardshell case.
