Description
Condition: This is a beautiful sounding Taylor guitar. There are small scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. There is one tiny finish chip on the body on the treble side of the neck heel (see photos). Overall, the guitar is very clean! Fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them. The treble side of the fingerboard is slightly uneven with the neck in that you can feel the seam of the neck and fingerboard. This is easy to feel when playing but it does not cause any playability issues. The neck has a very slight bow at the 12th fret but is otherwise mostly straight. The truss rod functions fine. All parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound body with solid spruce top and walnut back and sides in natural finish. Ebony bridge with an ivoroid saddle and an abalone rosette around the sound hole. Blue trim adorns the top and back binding and rosette. There is some subtle, yet gorgeous flame figuring in the back and sides that is visible from various different angles.
Neck: Mahogany neck with bound Ebony fingerboard, fancy pearloid inlays and a 1 ¾” nut. Headstock features a fancy pearloid center inlay and Grover tuners. 25.5” scale length.
Weight: 4lbs, 4.90z.
Playability/Sound: This is a very warm sounding Taylor. The spruce top and walnut back and sides produce a warm tone with a very pronounced midrange. This limited edition features some rare appointments and is truly a one-of-a-kind guitar in terms of build quality, looks and sound. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Includes original hardshell case. The case covering is peeling off in some areas and the interior has a musty odor. We have been able to rid the case of some of the odor, but not all of it.
