Description
What makes this guitar special: Built for a few years while the D40 was out of production, the D6-NT sports all the same features, but with a satin finish and gold tuners. It has a well-balanced, warm sound, with plenty of projection and punch. The onboard Fishman electronics sound terrific as well and make it easy to plug & play in any live setting. Professionally setup by the experts at Cream City Music, it’ll arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Used but not abused, with some standard wear & tear throughout. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs, with some visible fretwear and binding shrinkage around much of the body. There is some weather checking and seam separation as well, but no cracks that penetrate the wood. A previous owner attempted to touch up some of the binding shrinkage with some clear coat, and there are two small repaired cracks on the side of the guitar.
Body: Double bound mahogany back & sides with solid spruce top in satin natural finish. Ivoroid/ebonoid purfling, multi-ring rosette, and tortoise pickguard. Rosewood bridge with white bridge pins. Lower bout width measures 16” with 7/8” depth. Upper bout width measures 11 3/4" with 4 1/8” depth.
Weight: 5 lb, 9.3 oz
Neck: Nicely rounded solid mahogany neck with aged white side dots and pearl dot inlays. Neck shape trends toward a soft-V, but isn’t as pronounced. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Black headstock overlay with pearl Guild logo and scepter. Gold Grover tuners work great. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.
Electronics: Under saddle Fishman pickup with adjustable volume & tone.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
