Description
Condition: Very good overall. Various surface scratches and a few very small nicks and dings throughout the instrument. The pickguard is unoriginal, the bridge pickup is currently a humbucker and a mini toggle switch was added. We have talked directly to Fender who confirmed that this was a Strat Plus that was likely modified with the humbucker and mini toggle to Strat Ultra specs. Three bridge saddles were replaced, (the D, A and E saddles), they were however replaced with the exact same kind of saddles. There is also a 9-volt battery compartment on the back that is detached from the circuitry. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. Neck is very straight and truss rod functions fine. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured alder body in black finish. Two-point American modern-style bridge, skirted parchment control knobs and a 4-ply pearloid pickguard. There is a battery compartment on back though it is detached from the circuit.
Neck: “C’ shaped maple neck with maple fingerboard, black dot inlays and a 1 11/16” LSR roller nut. Locking tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Fender Lace Sensor Gold single coils in the neck and middle and a Fender Lace Sensor Silver and Lace Sensor Red in the bridge. Master volume control, dual tone controls, 5-way selector switch and 3-way mini toggle for bridge pickup.
Neck: 5.60K Ohms.
Middle: 5.51K Ohms.
Bridge (humbucking mode): 18.83K Ohms.
Weight: 8lbs, 11.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is an all-around great sounding, great playing Strat! The Lace Sensor pickups do a phenomenal job of providing the classic Fender tone. All the pickup setting sound very open and transparent. The modified bridge pickup really adds a good deal of versatility to the guitar as each coil can be played on its own or both together. The locking tuners and rolling nut provide perfect intonation. The neck is extremely comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Includes original hardshell case. Original papers are included in the case. An unoriginal vibrato arm is also included.
