What makes this guitar special: A stunning piece with outstanding playability and versatility in remarkable shape for its age. Made for a short period and rare to find in this condition, this Les Paul Bass sports a gorgeous flamed maple top in conjunction with solid mahogany construction for ample resonance and top-notch tone. The Bartonlini humbuckers sound terrific, with tons of punch and clarity, and are as versatile as can be thanks to a no-nonsense control layout that allows a myriad of tonal possibilities. It has been professionally intonated by our in-house luthier, so you can be sure it will arrive ready to blow you away.
Cosmetic condition: Excellent condition for its age-some minor surface and playwear scratches on the body, as well as two small dents in the back of the neck, one just below the headstock, and another about halfway down. These are purely cosmetic and in no way affect playability or the structural integrity of the instrument.
Body: Solid mahogany body with flamed maple top in beautiful translucent amber finish. Top loading black bridge with four individually adjustable saddles.
Weight: 9lb, 6.1oz
Neck: Nicely rounded medium profile mahogany neck with white side dots and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays. Ebony fretboard is in outstanding condition, and so are the frets-showing only minor wear with a ton of life left in them. 1 3/4" nut width, 34” scale length. Black Gibson tuners are in full working order. Neck is straight and truss rod works great.
Electronics: Dual Bartolini humbuckers with black speed knobs-1x volume, 1x bass, 1x treble, and 1x pickup blend.
Playability/Tone: Excellent tone and variance courtesy of the Bartolini humbuckers, with limitless possibilities. The weight and balance of the guitar is superb, making it very comfortable to play for extended periods of time. The neck is feel is excellent, and the solid wood construction is both visually stunning, and sonically brilliant-allowing outstanding resonance.
