Description

What makes this guitar special: This is a great-playing Telecaster with great inherent resonance and a warm tonal response. The hue of the refinish job looks absolutely dynamic over the large, naturally-swooping grains underneath. The Wide Range pickups are a far cry from the sharp response of standard single-coils, and output warm and full sounds in both positions, with a bit more chunk in the neck and clarity and chime in the bridge, all of which is pleasantly dark. The slimmer neck profile is a welcome variation from the standard shapes modern models are equipped with, and plays beautifully from the nut up into the cutaway. The body is light and mostly clean and carries a very classic-looking aesthetic.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does possess various nicks, dings, dents, scratches, and drill holes from the previous pickguard, and an area of more noticeable finish wear, but is still in great shape for its age and still looks, sounds, and plays great. The frets show only mild wear and still have a lot of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should. The straps on the case are broken so it does not prop open unassisted.

Body: Single cutaway semi-hollow ash body in refinished Natural. 4-ply white pearloid pickguard. Fixed plate bridge with individually adjustable saddles. Chrome knurled control knobs.

Neck: Slim to medium-depth maple neck and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. 1 11/16 nut width. Vintage-style tuning machines. Bullet-style truss rod adjustment.

Electronics: Fender Wide Range humbuckers in the neck and bridge. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 6 lbs 6.6 oz

Playability/Sound: Between the profile and slimmer depth, this neck is a welcome variation from the standard C and modern C shapes and still plays beautifully nut to cutaway. The Wide Range humbuckers are full and warm in both positions with a bit more chime and definition in the bridge.

Case: Includes hardshell case.
