Description
Condition: This is a great sounding Strat that is exceptionally light weight! There are scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the body, neck and headstock. There are some more noticeable chips on the upper treble side cutaway and towards the bottom of the body (see photos). There are some heavy pick scratches on the picikguard and the pickguard has developed a nice patina in some areas. There is some heavy buckle rash on the back and several scratches and chips throughout the edges. The tension on the bridge posts caused them to lean forward creating cracks in the wood of the body. A thick plastic “brace” was bolted against them to hold them in place (see photos). Though the posts are leaning forward slightly, the guitar can be tuned up to pitch and the vibrato used without any movement or other structural issues. This may need work in the future, but it is currently working just fine. The pickups have been upgraded to Fender Custom Shop single coils giving this guitar a great sound! Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier play wear in the lower registers. The back of the neck has several smaller dings and scratches. The neck is very straight with a very slight warp near the 12th fret. This is very minor and the playability of the neck is great. The truss rod and neck tilt adjustment function fine. The vibrato arm is unoriginal but works fine. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured body in candy apple red finish. Two-point modern style vibrato bridge with six individual saddles, skirted control knobs, a 3-ply white pickguard and a 3-ply white back cover plate.
Neck: Maple neck with neck tilt adjustment, rosewood fingerboard, white dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Fender tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Fender Custom Shop single-coil pickups in the neck, middle and bridge with a master volume control, regular tone control, TBX tone control and a 5-way selector switch.
Neck: 6.05K Ohms.
Middle: 6.11K Ohms.
Bridge: 6.30K Ohms.

Playability/Sound: This is a great sounding Strat! The Custom Shop Pickups and TBX tone control add a good amount of versatility to the classic sound. The bridge support is working very well and does not appear to be getting any worse at all. We were able to tune the guitar up to pitch and use the vibrato without any issues. This is an exceptionally light-weight Strat and it resonates beautifully. The neck is extremely comfortable and suitable for any playing style!
