Description
What makes this guitar special: An early version of one of the most tenured shapes in the Ibanez line, this S Series boasts great tone, a killer finish, an ultra thin body and a neck to match. The SSH combination of IBZ C2s and F2 provide a nice range of tone throughout, starting with a warm and round neck pickup that transitions into solid blues and rock tones throughout the middle positions. The bridge is hot and crisp with great attack. Its slim Wizard neck should be familiar to many Ibanez players and will be a welcome profile for shredders and ultra thin neck enthusiasts alike. The Lipstick Red finish has some serious shine to it, with subtle metallic flakes throughout, giving it a vibrant appearance, especially under lights. Plus, it’s still in great shape for a used guitar and comes with its original tremolo arm, a pro setup, and a semi-hardshell case.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various minor dings, dents, nicks, chips, and scratches, but is still in great shape for its age. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway slim mahogany body in Lipstick Red finish. Floyd Rose licensed Edge bridge with adjustable saddles. Knurled dome control knobs.
Neck: Super slim maple Wizard neck and rosewood fingerboard with large dot inlays. Black chrome sealed tuning machines. 1 11/16” locking nut. 25.5” scale length.
Electronics: IBZ/USA C2 single-coils in the neck and middle, IBZ/USA F2 humbucker in the bridge. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control. 5-way pickup selector.
Weight: 7 lbs 2.4 oz
Playability/Sound: The Wizard neck plays with great ease at length and will be perfect for players who like a paper thin neck to move around. The single-coils have a ton of mid-range body with the rounded upper end that suits rock and blues so well. The bridge is hot and crisp with great bite and attack.
Case: Includes semi-hardshell case.
