Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a great playing, beautiful sounding 1991 Gibson SG Junior. Features include a light weight mahogany body, P-100 pickup for a sound similar to a P-90 but without the hum and a 60s profile neck. The pickup provides a punchy sound with plenty of sparkle and warms up nicely via the tone control. This is an all-around great playing, well-made guitar at a very affordable price!
Condition: Very good shape overall. There are various surface scratches and small nicks and dings throughout the guitar with some buckle rash on the back. Most notable is a chunk of wood that broke off of the bass side horn and was glued back on. It is staying in place and is purely cosmetic. There is also a large impact dent/chip along the edge and a couple larger dings on the back of the neck (see photos). The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight with super comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly. The tuners, though Gibson Deluxe tuners, are unoriginal and some marks and screw holes from the original tuners are still visible. There is a sticker from a music store on the back control cover plate. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body in black finish. Stop-Bar Tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic bridge, dual skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 2-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Super comfortable 60s profile mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Gibson Deluxe tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Gibson Dog Ear P-100 pickup in the bridge position with master volume and tone controls.
Pickup: 9.10K Ohms.
Weight: 6lbs, 12.0oz.
Case: Includes a gig bag.
