What makes this guitar special: The first year model of Jeff Beck’s signature Strat, this surf green beauty features a big, chunky neck with a classic HSS pickup configuration. Classic Stratocaster versatility is compounded by a coil-split humbucker and Fender Lace Sensor pickups, for that classic rock and roll sound you know and love. This awesome piece is in very good overall condition, and plays beautifully up and down the fretboard. Cosmetic condition: Very good condition! There are various surface and playwear scratches throughout the body of the instrument, as well as a small chip in the finish just under the control knobs. The original pickguard is chipped above the bridge. Frets do show some playwear, but still have a great deal of life left in them.
Body: Contoured double cutaway alder body in surf green finish with 3-ply white pickguard. Original pickguard is chipped above the bridge. Two-point tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles and original trem arm.
Weight: 8lb, 3oz
Neck: Thick and beefy maple neck with aged cream colored side dots and white dot inlays. Locking nut with 1 5/8” nut width. 25 1/2" scale length. Sperzel locking tuners in brushed steel finish are in great working condition. Rosewood fingerboard is in excellent shape with no visible signs of wear. Frets show typical signs of playwear, but still have a ton of life left in them. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should.
Electronics: Fender Lace Sensor pickups in HSS configuration (Neck-5.77K ohms, Middle-5.91K ohms, Bridge-11.05K ohms) with coil-tapped bridge humbucker (5.78K ohms split), 5-way pickup selector switch and skirted white knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume.
Playability/Tone: Outstanding versatility, with seemingly limitless tonal possibilities. The 5-way switch in tandem with the coil-tapped bridge humbucker ensure that you will never run out of sounds to suit your every sonic need. The beefy maple neck is wildly comfortable, with phenomenal action up and down the fretboard. A superb player, with a cool look and great tone, this one is an excellent addition to any collection.
