Description
An Early 1990's Ibanez Universe UV77 7-string electric guitar made in Japan.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings mostly along the edges; surface scratches.
Neck: Maple neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with Disappearing Pyramid inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Cosmo Black tuners in perfect working condition. The back of the headstock was signed by Steve Vai in green marker.
Body: Solid basswood body in a multicolor finish. Although regular production of the guitar took place in Japan, the guitar bodies were 'swirled' in the USA creating the unique finish. This was done by Darren Johansen of About Time Design. Unfinished bodies would ship from the Japan to the US for swirling and back to Japan for clear-coating and final assembly. Edge 7 tremolo bridge Licensed Under Floyd Rose Patents. The original trem arm is missing, but we've included a replacement that works well. Clear pickguard.
Pickups: DiMarzio Blaze II H/S/H pickups. Master volume & tone controls with 5-way selector switch.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
